First, THANK YOU (Jeremy?) for your help in selecting the correct LIKEaBIKE model.
My daughter isn't quite 4 years old but is 42" tall, so I was afraid the original LIKEaBIKE wouldn't work for her. I'm SO glad we chose the Midi, the medium height model. The Midi offers a size range I couldn't find with other balance bikes. We still have five inches of adjustable seat height left.
At first, we tried the second lowest height setting, but our daughter couldn't control the bike well, so we lowered it to the lowest setting (roughly equivalent to the highest setting of the original LIKEaBIKE) and that helped tremendously. She quickly mastered balancing and coasting. A week later, we raised the seat one notch up again and she rides it perfectly.
My daughter fell down on her bike with pedals and training wheels on her first time out, so she was hesitant and overly cautious when riding it. The LIKEaBIKE has really restored her confidence.
