As avid riders, we tracked down "real" road ready bikes for kids. Argon 18 is based out of Montreal and makes two race ready bike for kids. The R2, replaced by the Xenon 650, fits kids under 5 feet and the D2, replaced by the Xenon 24, fits kids under 4 feet. In fact, one of the "bigger kids" that rides an Argon 18 set the bike course record at the Ironman World Championship in 2005. (Torbjorn Sindballe)
We suggest you find a good bike shop that has experience building road bikes to have them build and set up the bike to fit your young cycling star. A good shop makes a big difference. Sizing for bikes can be found in the Technical Spec's section of the product overview. Good luck and great riding! Send us pictures of your young rider on an Argon 18 and we may post it on the site.
