Kids Lifejackets or PFD’s (Personal Flotation Devices)
A kids lifejacket (PFD) are one of the most important pieces of gear your child can have on the water. Kids lifejackets are designed as Type II or Type III as outlined by the US Coast Guard. Adult PFDs are sized by chest circumference but children’s PFDs are rated by weight ranges. The US Coast Guard has an approval rating system.
